Two Administration roles sent to Senate for confirmation
The White House announced on Wednesday that President Trump had appointed two individuals to positions within the Defense Department.
Matthew Donovan was appointed to be the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness. He currently works as the Under Secretary of the Air Force. Prior to that role, he was the acting Secretary of the Air Force from June to October 2019.
Victor G. Mercado was appointed to be an Assistant Secretary of Defense. He currently serves as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Plans and Posture. He also previously worked as the Director of Maritime Operations for the United States Pacific Fleet in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii.
As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…
- That President Trump would have wisdom on how best to fill other openings in his Administration.
- For the Senate to have wisdom on how to vote on these nominations.
- That the Defense Department would be strengthened as a result of these appointments.
